Aging Well in KC
Aging Well in KC is a community conversation about what it truly means to grow older well.
This podcast is for anyone who is aging (so… all of us), loving someone who is aging, or wanting to better support the older adults in their life.
Hosted by local in-home care leaders who believe seniors deserve more than basic care, we explore aging in place, caregiving, dementia, grief, independence, family dynamics, and planning for what comes next. We bring honest discussions, practical guidance, and real-life insight to help families approach aging with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
Around here, we lead with heart. We believe older adults deserve dignity, connection, purpose, and joy. And we believe aging well isn’t just about adding years to life — it’s about adding life to those years.
Because aging isn’t something to fear. It’s something to prepare for — together.

Welcome to the very first episode of Aging Well in KC — Changing the Way Kansas City Ages.
In this episode, hosts Brian and Lauren Dreis, owners of Seniors Helping Seniors KC North, and JC Pfeister, owner of Seniors Helping Seniors KC Metro South, share the heart behind what they do and why this work matters so deeply to them.
You’ll get to know:
- Who we are — both personally and professionally
- How Seniors Helping Seniors came to life
- What makes our care model different by design
- Why companionship is at the core of everything we do
- What families can expect when navigating the aging journey
We also dive into the reality many families face today—trying to balance independence, safety, and quality of life for their loved ones—and how having the right kind of support can make all the difference.
This episode is more than an introduction—it's an invitation. An invitation to rethink aging, to plan with intention, and to feel supported every step of the way.
Whether you're a family member, caregiver, or simply planning ahead, we're so glad you're here.
